Our Very Popular program with Brian Stewart is back for the Fall, designed for ALL abilities to help improve your fitness level. Grades 1-8 Sundays: Starts September 25 6 weeks 3-4:00 pm All Stars Jiu Jitsu Our program has expanded into Jiu Jitsu, which is a more encompassing martial arts program than karate. SNAP (Special Needs Athletic Partnership) is pleased to offer several exciting recreational and athletic programs for students ages 4 – 22 who receive special education services. The 3rd annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community Night at Historic Fenway Park on Tuesday, September 13th. Bring your family and friends to the game to support the Deaf community during Deaf Awareness Week and join the Red Sox as they host the Baltimore Orioles at 7:10 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will benefit the DEAF Inc. and Our Deaf Survivors Center non-profits. ASL interpreting services will be provided on-field for during the pre-game ceremony. The National Anthem and The 7th Inning Stretch will also be performed in ASL by members of the local Deaf community. Sunset Point Camp has been providing summer camping experiences for nearly 100 years. Students who are ages 6 – 22 years old are invited to attend this year’s program from August 8 – 12 on the grounds of Sunset Point Camp. From 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. they will be integrated into Sunset Point’s wonderful program and partnered with buddies who are attending the camp. Daily recreational activities will include swimming, kayaking, paddle boats, arts and crafts, and drama. Lunch is provided on site. Campers are supervised and coached by a Camp Director, Program Director, life guards, and nurses. Staff to camper ratio is 1:3 but 1:1 coverage can be arranged if needed. All Stars Tennis with Aceing Autism 2016
The Scituate CORSE Foundation and Scituate Youth Center are collaborating to offer All Stars Tennis. The mission of this 6 week program is to make the sport of tennis available to children with special needs that cannot access a typical program. Each week will introduce or address different basic tennis skills. Children ages 6-22 will learn basic ball and racquet skills. Programming is individualized to fit each participant based on their prior tennis experience, developmental level and motor abilities. Many children will benefit from seeing a visual schedule and cues like place-markers, cones, arrows and targets to help focus. All tennis equipment is provided. Sneakers are mandatory, bug spray and water are recommended. 6 weeks, Mondays 5:45-6:30pm July 11 to August 15 Scituate High School Tennis Courts Fee $60 Therapeutic Horseback Riding

www.corsefoundation.org Therapeutic Horseback Riding The Scituate C.O.R.S.E Foundation in collaboration with Booth Hill Farm, is pleased to again offer our Therapeutic Riding Program. Therapeutic Riding has many benefits for children with special needs including physical, sensory, emotional, cognitive and social. This program will introduce the child to all aspects of the riding experience including: becoming familiar with the farm setting, the animals, the equipment and the aspects of riding. The program will be instructed by Linda Adams, Owner and Director of Riding Services at Booth Hill Farm. Linda is a licensed riding instructor, teaching locally for over 30 years. She is a member of AHA (American Hippo-therapy Association) and NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped). All children are required to wear long pants, boots and have a helmet. Due to the composition of horses and ponies at Booth Hill Farm, there is a maximum weight and height limit for participants. We can take children up to 110 lbs and 5 ft tall. 6 weeks, July 5-August 12 Tuesdays 8-8:30am Wednesdays 8-8:30am Thursdays 8-8:30am Fridays 8:30-9:00am or 9-9:30am Booth Hill Farm Fee: $150 First time participants also need to pay a $30 evaluation fee Groups will be limited to 3 students per session so please indicate the day(s) you are interested in and available to participate; however Linda will be grouping students based on evaluations. Once groups are confirmed, we will email you a confirmation with registration form. This program fills quickly so please register as soon as possible!
