Many of the siblings have travelled through India before and want to share this experience with their brother or sister, and slowly come to realize with how different the hike will be this time around. But together on this physically and emotionally trying journey, the conflicts and the complexities of the siblings' relationships come to the surface. Our programs build self-esteem and community involvement for our participants, while providing support for their families who may become overwhelmed and isolated by the daily demands of caring for their family members. While our programs directly address the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, we are proud of our efforts to impact the entire community by raising up our participants and recognizing them as vital contributors.

CIRCLE-T (for typical sibs) This exciting, unique program on the South Shore supports children whose siblings have a significant special need. And it’s FREE! WHO: Children, six to fourteen years, come with their parent, enjoy a pizza supper, and maybe, for the first time, join other ‘typical sibs’ who face similar joys and challenges of living with a sibling with special needs.
