BIG APPLE CIRCUS
EMBRACES AUTISM EVENT Boston, March 31st, 2016 Autism-Friendly Big Apple Circus Show. Big Apple Circus has joined with world-renowned ASD experts to adapt The Grand Tour for families with members on the spectrum. The adapted show includes the same world-class artistry as the full performance with a shorter running time, adjusted lights and sound, calming centers, pictorial social narratives, and many especially-trained staff and volunteers. See high-flying acrobats, lovable clowns, the Wheel of Wonder, and more. Please note that Big Apple Tickets are not complimentary this year, however financial aid may be available. Boston March 28th & 29th, 2016. Circus of the Senses is a 75-minute version of the Big Apple Circus specifically for guests with vision and/or hearing impairments. There will be audio description via headset, ASL interpretation, Braille and large-type programs, and other services to provide an exciting multi-dimensional performing arts experience. Big Apple Circus has adapted their new show called The Grand Tour especially for audience members with special needs. Enjoy high-flying acrobats, lovable clowns, the Wheel of Wonder, and more. Free Admission to Zootopia Movie, Subsidized by CORSE The CORSE Foundation is sponsoring a FREE "Let's Go the Movies" Event Saturday March 26 at 10:00am at the Mill Wharf Cinema in Scituate The theater will provide an inviting setting to watch a movie, with modifications made to provide a more relaxed experience for kids and families as they watch a current feature film. If you would like to bring your own snack you are welcome to do so. Families are asked to attend with their child; young adults or individuals with special needs should be accompanied by a chaperone for the best possible experience. Maximum of 6 tickets per family. Does your child have a hard time making connections with other kids? While most children learn the skills of Social Thinking™ intuitively, some children have great difficulties understanding the nuances of the social world. If you are concerned about your child’s social skills attend this workshop to learn more about Social Thinking™ and how you can help your child. The workshop is free and will take place at the Pilgrim Academy located at 42 Industrial Park Road, Plymouth, MA.
