Relaxation Workshop (see below for a description of the workshop) to May 13th. The time and location will be the same: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at The Pilgrim Academy, 42 Industrial Park Road, Plymouth. We still have space available, just let me know if you wish to sign up. This is a free workshop open to anyone – so please feel free to share this information with those you think would be interested.


Taking Care of Me: Relaxation Class for Parents & Caregivers of Children with Special Needs
Parenting can be challenging, especially if you are a parent of a child with special needs. Come rejuvenate with others who understand what you are experiencing at home and leave with a valuable set of calming tools for you and your family. This presentation will focus on the integration of stress management tools & relaxation techniques into the challenges of everyday life.  It will examine the body’s response to stressors and more importantly how to learn to illicit the relaxation response in order to cope with stress. 

The coping mechanisms of diaphragmatic breathing, restorative yoga, mindfulness meditation, and guided imagery will be discussed and demonstrated in this program.
