An Author Conversation and Book Signing
Tuesday Evening, October 20, 2015

This fall, UOD's popular book event will feature Fish in a Tree, and author Lynda Mullaly Hunt. This highly praised, middle grade children's book has a learning disability theme.
Every time Ally lands in a new school, she is able to hide her inability to read by creating clever yet disruptive distractions.

But with the help of a new teacher, she discovers that there's a lot more to her -- and to everyone -- than a label, and that great minds don't always think alike.
Recommended for grades 4-6.

Lynda Mullaly Hunt Join us to meet author Lynda Mullaly Hunt at Understanding Our Differences' 4th Annual Family Book Event on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 PM. She will discuss, read from and sign copies of Fish In A Tree. Hunt is the author of the children's book One for the Murphys, the recipient of many honors. She is a former teacher who lives in Connecticut with her family and pets.

"Filled with a delightful range of quirky characters and told with heart, Fish in a Tree explores themes of family, friendship, and courage in its many forms." -- BOOKLIST, Starred Review
